Program Includes
What you get

This program focuses on Consultation of Consultation — not your own cases, but your development as a consultant who can guide, evaluate, and teach other clinicians effectively.

What is Consultation of Consultation?

Consultation of Consultation (C of C) is the process by which a Consultant-in-Training receives guidance on how they are consulting with others — not on their own clinical cases. EMDRIA requires C of C hours specifically to demonstrate that you can teach, evaluate, and support other clinicians in their EMDR development. These hours are distinct from standard clinical consultation and must be documented separately.

20 hours of Consultation of Consultation toward EMDRIA Approved Consultant status
10 individual C of C hours scheduled in advance with your consultant
10 group C of C hours with a team of experienced EMDRIA Approved Consultants
Individualized support to accomplish EMDRIA's required CIT competencies
Education and guidance on teaching consultees EMDR core competencies
Role plays and practice in the consultant role for deeper skill development
Handouts and applicable techniques to enrich your consultation practice
CE recommendations matched to your clinical needs at a discounted rate
Unique to This Program

Shadowing experiences included

You will have opportunities to shadow active consultation sessions — observing how experienced EMDRIA Approved Consultants engage consultees, answer clinical questions, and navigate group dynamics. You will be introduced, build rapport, and demonstrate your own skills in a supported environment. This is also how you begin building your consultation network and developing leads for your own certification consultation practice.

The Process
How it works

New cohorts begin every month. After you apply and we speak, you join on the next available 2nd Thursday.

Step 01

Apply and schedule your Zoom call

Submit your application. We review it and schedule a brief Zoom call to confirm fit, discuss your consultation goals, and walk through how the program works before enrollment.

Step 02

Orientation on your first 2nd Thursday

We review the CIT requirements, consultation stance, record keeping, and your individual session schedule. Consultation of Consultation begins the same day at 11am CT.

Step 03

Group and individual C of C sessions begin

Group sessions run 11am–12pm CT on 2nd Thursdays via Zoom. Individual sessions are scheduled by availability. You complete your 20 C of C hours on your timeline toward EMDRIA submission.
