Kenya Rocha, MS, LMHC, NCC, is a nationally recognized EMDR trainer, licensed psychotherapist, and the owner of two thriving mental health enterprises — EMDR & Beyond and MOSAIC Family Counseling Center. Over more than three decades of service, she has trained hundreds of clinicians across the United States and internationally, founded and led a group practice of 20+ therapists, and built a reputation as one of the most trusted, culturally grounded EMDR educators in the country.
Kenya holds the rare dual distinction of being both an EMDRIA Approved Trainer (2023) and an EMDR Consulting Approved Trainer (2018) — credentials that reflect not only technical mastery but a commitment to the highest standards in EMDR education. Kenya was trained in EMDR in 2008, earned her EMDR certification in 2011, shortly followed by EMDRIA Approved Consultant status in 2012. She has been delivering EMDR Advanced Trainings since 2014 and was invited to begin teaching Basic Training in 2017. Her teaching draws from lived clinical depth: she is an active therapist, trainer, supervisor, and consultant who brings current real-world cases and ethical complexity into every training room.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Kenya has spent her career building systems of care that reach people others miss — including Latino families, families in crisis, children in the foster care system, trauma survivors, and clinicians in underserved communities. She is equally at home training a room of seasoned therapists on complex presentations as she is mentoring a first-year counselor through the basics of the AIP model.
As the President, CEO, and Owner of EMDR & Beyond (acquired 2024), Kenya has brought together a faculty of expert clinicians to deliver advanced and specialty EMDR continuing education that is relevant and responds to what therapists actually need in the room. As the founder and CEO of MOSAIC Family Counseling Center (2007–present), she has developed programming, supervised clinicians, managed credentialing, and built an organization with a clear mission: responsive, ethical, culturally humble mental health care for individuals and families.
Kenya’s clinical approach is warm, structured, and deeply attuned. Her most recent credential — Clinical Hypnotherapist (HTI Level 6, 2026) — reflects an ongoing commitment to expanding her clinical toolkit and staying at the leading edge of integrative trauma treatment.
