Martha Norton, LMHC, MS, IADC, CCDP-D, offers a wealth of experience spanning over 35 years as a therapist, educator, and trainer, underlined by her credentials as an EMDRIA Approved EMDR Certified Therapist and Consultant, and a Certified Sensorimotor Psychotherapist and Coach. 
Having earned her Master of Science in Counseling from the University of Vermont, Martha served 24 years at Iowa State University’s Student Counseling Services before venturing into private practice. Her professional journey is marked by a focus on a diverse range of issues including depression, anxiety, complex trauma/PTSD, eating disorders, and substance abuse, working with a broad client base that includes individuals, couples, and groups across all ages.
Martha’s commitment to the field is further exemplified through her role as a founding board member of the Eating Disorder Coalition of Iowa and her participation in specialized training for early life and complex trauma, including Ana Gomez’s Intensive Child Specialist training. This blend of extensive clinical practice and dedicated service in various educational roles highlights her profound impact on both her clients and the broader mental health community.
