Darcie Yamada, LISW, AC, is a Level One Trained Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapist certified through the IFS Institute. She offers specialty workshops that combine IFS with EMDR therapy, as an EMDRIA Approved Consultant and Agate Institute facilitator for Ana Gomez’s Basic and Specialty workshops. Her programs blend the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) and IFS models to impart core concepts and techniques of both therapies, focusing on enhancing parts work across diverse clinical scenarios.
Darcie is an EMDRIA Approved Certified EMDR Therapist and Consultant who is a facilitator for Ana Gomez at the Agate Institute. With a career starting in 2003 after teaching kindergarten, Darcie holds a BA in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Iowa.
Darcie’s private practice since 2008 focuses on complex trauma treatment for children and families, blending expertise in EMDR with Internal Family Systems methodologies. Darcie co-created a specialized EMDR and IFS training with Amanda Goodrich, enhancing her return to teaching. She co-owns Integrated Community Therapists in Iowa City, IA, and enjoys hiking, traveling, reading, and volunteering locally. Darcie lives with her spouse, two children, and two pugs.
