Andrea Gibbs-Wilson, MA, LPC

Andrea Gibbs Wilson, M.A., LPC, is a seasoned mental health professional with over 25 years of expertise in trauma, domestic violence, and sexual abuse. She began her career at the Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA), where she treated survivors of all ages and pioneered a program for non-offending parents, offering trauma education and support. Andrea also developed an art therapy-based group for adolescent survivors and facilitated accountability-based groups for sex offenders.

As a therapist in the Masters & Johnson Trauma Unit at Two Rivers Psychiatric Hospital, she specialized in patient stabilization and trauma resolution, designing a curriculum for the Eating Disorder Track. At Synergy Services, she advanced from therapist to Lead Therapist for the Domestic Violence Team, receiving extensive training in EMDR and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. She was instrumental in expanding the Batterer’s Intervention Program, now approved for telehealth treatment across Missouri.

In private practice, Andrea obtained EMDR certification, providing trauma resolution therapy for survivors of domestic violence and abuse. Currently, as the Senior Clinical Manager of Domestic Violence Services at Synergy, she supervises the Domestic Violence Shelter and the Attachment-Based Parenting Program, continuing her commitment to trauma-informed care and program innovation.
