EMDR and Telehealth with Madi Musson

Here are a few steps that you can take:

Per recommendations of EMDRIA and the Global Alliance of EMDR Therapists, it is best practice to address utilization of EMDR with each client based on their individual needs. Clinicians may choose to enhance existing resources, continue through targeted processing, or focus on talk-based approaches at this time based on each client's window of tolerance and capacity to safely continue processing concerns.

EMDR & Beyond will work with our clients to address the best approach for each person moving forward, continuing to ensure that we are within best practice to keep our clients safe. Each client will be asked to have a safety plan in place in the event of distress, as well as utilize resources identified in therapy.

Processing through the secured website remotEMDR for BLS (eye movements) or alternative methods involving body movement may be utilized to continue safe processing. We are here to support you, our fellow clinicians and our clients, as we all venture forward.

remotEMDR is a webplatform designed to provide BLS for clients:  https://www.remotemdr.com/ I also use client administered tapping (butterfly, walk it out, tap on knees, drumming) and the Draw It Out Protocol by Robbie Adler-Tapia.

Best practice right now is to check stabilization/window of tolerance for client, expand existing resources, and continue with targeted processing after making sure you have a strong safety plan in place!
