Bryan Hall, Ph.D.

Bryan Hall, Ph.D., is a licensed mental health counselor trained in the use of EMDR with children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Hall also implements cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused interventions with his clients. He provides therapy to individuals experiencing a variety of concerns including trauma and loss, depression, anxiety, life adjustment issues, sexual identity, and parent/child conflicts. Dr. Hall views counseling as a vehicle to help people properly address adversity and challenges through the development of a strengths-based therapeutic relationship in which the clinician and client work collaboratively to identify goals and obstacles to reaching those goals. EMDR and cognitive-behavioral therapies in particular provide powerful, empirically-supported means of helping people to overcome past events (and their beliefs about those events) which continue to negatively influence present thoughts, feelings, and behavior.

Dr. Hall is an Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at Drake University, where he teaches courses regarding abnormal and clinical psychology. He and his wife are parents to three boys, four small dogs, and a bearded dragon. He enjoys traveling, time at the lake, and classic rock ‘n’ roll.
