SARA COEN, LMHC is a therapist, trainer and EMDR clinician. Sara holds an M.ED. in Counseling from Iowa State University and a B.A in Psychology from Simpson College. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprossessing (EMDR), and is a member of The American Counseling Association.

As a relational-cultural therapist I view you as the expert in your life.  In my work, I strive to build an authentic and healing relationship that fosters trust & growth.  It is an honor for me to hold space for clients as they process life’s more challenging issues, and gain new perspective on what may be holding them back from a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

I have been working in the areas of counseling, education and human services for over 15 years.  My background has given me countless opportunities to work with many amazing & resilient people, and in my work as a therapist, I use that direct service knowledge and combine it with best practice research-based psychotherapy interventions to help people work toward healing and connection.

Whether you are looking for hope after loss or trauma, or you are just ready to move in a new life direction, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.
